Chocolate milk has been suggested for use after intense workouts for its "magic ratio" of carbohydrates to protein, among other nutritional properties. For this same reason, it is also an excellent hangover remedy.
However, drinking chocolate milk will prevent the proper absoption of calcium due to the reactions with oxalic acid forming a salt that cannot be metabolized.

Your best off just drinnking milk on it's own! But if the only way for you to drink it is with the chocolate i can't see the harm, just as long if its in moderation.. Ohh and also u want to head toward the semi skimmed or skimmed milk. Its about cutting the fat out.

Of course it is, Frank.
A better questions is- is chocolate milk good for you if you put it in your hair.
Seriously though, like all things moderation is key. A small glas once a day can't hurt. It tastes great and provides a fair deal of calcium.

I have never heard in my life that drinking CHOCOLATE milk is good for you, unless you are way to skinny, then it would add weight, because it has alot of calories. Other than tasting good, I can't see or know of any other benefits. Milk is good for you, because of the calcium.

Milk, yes. Chocolate, not really...but if it's the only way you like your milk, it's better than not drinking any! :-) Some pediatricians actually suggest giving chocolate milk to kids who don't like white milk, to get them to drink it.

Depends on who you heard this from. Are they an informed, authoritative source? Are there any studies to back this up?
Drinking milk is good, consuming chocolate is good, both in moderation are good.

Milk is always good no matter what flavor is it, but too much chocolate isn't good. So drink it in moderation.

I read recently that the amount of sugar in chocolate milk is about the same as in an equal amount of orange juice. so it's not so bad as people think.

Too much milk isn't good for you (fattening) .... a little milk is good. The chocolate adds no nutritional value whatsoever.
