I am 11 and I was thinking should I start covering my hair? I think It will be a great help for me and my deeds. But do u think I am ready. My mom is scared I will take it off in the future.

ignore the haters from amongst the kuffar.they only wish they were as pious as you.wear your hijab proudly.it ads to the beauty of Islam.my daughters ,all six of them wore it since 3yrs old. they still do.and they tell me they are proud and honored to wear the hijab as the prophet[pbuh] interpreted the verse.so dont be like the girls of the west who would take clothes off to be noticed.respect yourself and cover what Allah has ordered covered.

It signifies that you are progressing and your faith has increased. You are only eleven, wow, that's wonderful. I started covering in high school. Yes you are ready, that's why you are being guided to the next level in the first place. Yes, there will be challenges when you began to wear it, but soon you will gravitate to a level higher then where you are now, seriously. Progress in Islam is infinite. You go girl! go after you goals and follow your morals and what you think is right, you will have a great sense of empowerment. The hijab is more powerful then people realize.
You're not doing it for your mom, you're doing it for Allah. But regardless, she will be proud of you.

I'm not Muslim, but I hope you don't mind my answering. f you want to cover it then cover it. Just because you cover it now, it doesn't mean you can't change your mind in the future. If you want to wear a hijab then wear it, but if you don't then don't, no matter what your age. Your decision now should not be eternally binding. You're 11 for cripes sake.

Oh of course. Covering yourself is the only way to keep perverts from being sexually attracted to you. We men can't control ourselves. It is your responsibility to keep men from being attracted to you. If you don't cover, you will be blamed for men's lust
