Ok, well. First of all- the world is full of those blurry hurried/botched-attempt-at-being-artsy pics... there are too many in fact. As a rule, just stick to the basics. It's the KISS theory= Keep It Simple Stupid. If you really want a good solid myspace pic, you want one that shows confidence in who you are as well as how you look. Smiling is always an asset. Everyone likes a positive outlook and a smile puts that across! So I'd suggest smiling from ear to ear, snapping a couple of shots or even using a cropped shot from a group pic! Not only are you happy, you're also cool and you hang out with friends! Yay, for you!
But if you absolutely feel the need to use one of those pics, crop the first one so there isn't quite so much wasted space (even though it's cool to have a little extra room to keep it interesting, your desk or wall shouldn't be the main focus).
