1 John 3:10 He that preaches to those who do not share the faith committeth sin and is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil for wasting everyone's time. (Puff, Varoom and Puff the magic dragon. Did you hear that sound in the background?).

We all sin and we will sin till the day we meet the Lord in the air. But that is where we must confess our sins and turn from our wicked ways which means try not to do the same sin over and over. The few men in the bible that were perfect were taken to heaven Elijah was taken in a Chariot and Enoch just disappeared. If we were sin free than we would not be here.

I agree with the verses you quoted. Genuine Christians no longer commit sin. It is the Baptists and Calvinists who believe in "sinning Christians", which I consider a contradictory term. The big disagreement is actually rooted in the definition of sin. I believe that sin is a willful transgression against a known law of God. The Baptists think sin is falling short of the mark. They classify mistakes as sins and we do not.

We are all sinners and all fall short of the standard raised up by God, that is Jesus. The quoted verses do not mean that Christians are incapable of sin, but that sin is not their permanent condition.

It is not possible to continue in sin and continue to maintain our relationship with God, unhampered by our sin. Our sin creates a barrier between us and God. If we are "born again" our commitment to Jesus will by the power of His Holy Spirit, lead us to conviction and repentance when we sin and thereby cause us to abide in Jesus and not sin.

But if as Christians we commit to sin then we open the door to it and it becomes part of our life, and by the very same door through which sin re-entered, so the convicting power of God's Holy Spirit will depart. Unchecked, the process can eventually lead us (through our own self condemnation rather than God’s), to rejecting, irreversibly the gift of salvation that was once ours for the keeping.

Christians are not immune to the destructive power of sin.

ALL people are sinners. Our nature is sinful, we sin because we are by nature sinful. Once a person gives themselves to Christ and is saved their spirit is now of God and is cleansed of ALL sin. Gods spirit is perfect (without sin). Our spirits (souls) are eternal, meaning they live forever saved or not. The physical body is temporal, it dies. When we sin as Christians we sin in the flesh because that is our nature. Flesh dies......the spirit cleansed is of God, lasts forever and once saved is clean. The spirit being of God is sinless but the flesh being of the world and temporal is sinful in nature.

Amen!! We who are saved cant sin even though we will sin, but our sin doesnt not make us lost only takes us from the fellowship. When King David sinned he didnt pray Lord save me again. He prayed return unto me the joy of thy salvation. I have always wanted to ask this question but I figured it would go over to many peoples heads.

I agree, we all are brother:
1 John 1:8-10

If we say, "We are without sin," we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from every wrongdoing. If we say, "We have not sinned," we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Apparently, Christians, according to their bible, are born sinners. And because they can become baptized on a regular basis - washing away their sins - I suggest they sin with some regularity.

We are all sinners. Some are just sinners saved by the Grace of God.
