What are the consequences if an illegal immigrant without a license is hired by a construction co. under the table to drive a dump truck which requires not only a license but a special license including a DOT, is involved in a head on collision (100% at fault). What are the consequences for the co. who hired him? What are the rights for the injured person in other vehicle? Injuries consist of severe whip lash requiring surgery, 2 torn shoulders, and more severe pain to an existing back problem (spinal stenosis). Before accident surgeon was to do a fusion after, at his request, 2 carpel tunnels were repaired. Injured on LTD for C.T. then waiting for fusion. After accident surgeon said no longer a candidate for fusion. Will not discuss further options until depression caused by accident is under control. Leaving a long pause for settlement. Injured is out of money. Cannot return to job after working for 17 years. LTD does not cover my living expenses. Must sell home. Please help.

no kidding. The company is in really hot water. I believe that the person will also stand trial and then I'm sure DEPORTED!

In my experience, none. I was rammed at a stop light by a guy from Juarez who had no insurance or ID. I had to fix my car out of pocket. Even the cop told me I really couldn't do anything. I don't know if that's the correct thing to say to someone, but for your sake I hope you can get some kind of help with your injuries. Best wishes.

He'll go to jail for a few months maybe then be released, no consequences. You can only try to sue in civil court for any loss. Or youc ould possibly go after the company that hired the illegal to try to recover any loss on your part.

I would turn the company into immigration and sue the company for hiring the illegal. Your situation happens often and is just one more reason to expel the illegals.

If you are the injuried party sue the company that hired him. If the man who caused the accident you are out of luck.

If the injured is the illegal and he's raping YOU for the costs, he should have been deported. (arrested first).
Who is your lawyer? You need a new one, obviously.
