The child of Isaiah 7:14-17, Immanuel, supposedly refers to Jesus, and if one child was identified with a historical person, the others must be, as well. So who is Shear-jashub in Isaiah 7:3-4 and who is Maher-shalal-hash-baz in Isaiah 8:1-4?

So many of you can quote scripture vomitoriously, but you cannot answer me this?

Hello David W-- I don't know much about your verses (my bible reference says Shear-jashub = a remnant will return; Maher-shalal-hash-baz = swift to plunder and quick to spoil). But I just couldn't resist saying 'hi' to someone who comes up with such a wonderful word ... "vomitoriously"---so picturesque. hehe.

Hoping the best for you...
