We have 7 new puppies and mam is just not wanting to much to do with them, but they are always on her when they get a chance.

Mama had puppies 3 wks ago and doesn't want to much to do with them but they attrack every chance they get It is also hot outside so I brought them in the house as well

About 3 to 4 weeks start seperating them. Make sure too that you cut their nails. When they are pushing on her to nurse they may be scratching her. Their teeth may be starting to come in also and that will cause her not to want to nurse. Start by feeding them dog food (perferred dry, soaked in water overnight) once a day. after about a week increse food, and limit how much time they get with mom.

Puppies will start to ween at about 4-7 weeks. Mama is probably not wanting much to do with them due to their tiny little nails digging into her. Puppies nails are extremely sharp and so are their teeth. Puppies will feed at every chance they get. If mama is refusing the puppies to much you may have to bottle feed them formula that you can buy at most pet stores to ensure their getting the proper nutrients. Also if this is mamas first litter than chances are she's not ready to be a mommy and doesn't know how to handle it.
