[Psalm 14] The lament (duplicated in Psalm 53) depicts the world as consisting of two types of people: "the fools" (= the wicked, Psalm 14:1-3) and "the company of the just" (Psalm 14:4-6; also called "my people," and "the poor"). The wicked persecute the just, but the psalm expresses the hope that God will punish the wicked and reward the good.

I don't think anything of it. But, if I must, it's a long-winded myth and to those that believe, they should leave others that don't alone. Then you wonder why people get upset with your constant Bible drivel and get nasty remarks directed at you? Man, give it a damned rest, won't you? Why don't you take it up with those that want to listen... they normally go to church... I don't go to church so I won't have to deal with it. YOU and others should stop persecuting those of us that do not want to know about your drivel!

You have to remember that this verse, "Fools say in their hearts, 'There is no God.' Their deeds are loathsome and corrupt; not one does what is right." is part of a psalm (song) that is sung by the Jewish people as part of their praise to God.

Who are the people who are praying this psalm? The Jewish people. Who are the people who will be hearing this psalm? The Jewish people.

It would be wrong to take this verse out of context and say that the person who wrote this psalm is talking about those people who have never believed in God. The psalm is talking about those people who knowing there is a Gid, let pride enter their lives and cause them to say "There is no God"

Psalms 14:1 says
"The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good."

The true atheist is either foolish or wicked-foolish because he ignores the evidence that God exists or wicked because he refuses to live by God's truths. We become atheists in practice when we rely more on ourselves than on God. The fool mentioned here is someone who is aggressively perverse in his actions. To speak in direct defiance of God is utterly foolish according to the Bible.

It's kinda like the meek shall inherit the earth.

Just more mind control to allow the few rich folks to worry less about their less fortunate neighbors.

A fool is misinformed and in need of guidance. I agree with the verse.
