and he sent his son to die for our sins? You really know this?? Why is it still referred to as faith? If so, this is the scariest thing I have ever heard in my life. I had always thought it was a belief which I have abosulty no problem with. Belief and faith are used in religion for a reason.

It's something you can feel on the inside, hard to explain. It's like there is more to everything than just life. And because of that life is meaningless for yourself but you worry about others.

No one can tell you what a "majority" think but Christianity is about faith in God and a relationship with his Son. Christians should all have faith that God's Son died for their sins and that faith is often based on the individual's life experiences that support and strengthen the belief. "Beyond a shadow of a doubt?" Who can say? Probably not, but that's not the right standard.

I believe without a shaddow of a doubt. But everyone does not, everyday life can get christians down just like everyone else, and God knows times will come when we wonder why it gets so hard
and when it does instead of saying I cant do this anymore I choose to keep believing because of how God has already changed my life. I believe what ever may come my belief in God will carry me through, that belief is what I consider faith.
Before you sat down in your computer chair did you test to see if it was sturdy enough to hold you? Did you make sure there werent any screws sticking out ? Probably not you had faith (you believed) that chair would support you because you had no reason to doubt it!
God Bless!!

I prefer to call my belief Faith. I have faith there is a God, Jesus, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Anyone can try with all they have got, but no one, I repeat, no one is going to change my mind. I am far from a perfect person, I will not get all the rewards Heave n has to offer, but I am assured I am going to Heaven because of God's Amazing Grace.

I don't know for sure :( I struggled with this same question just a little while ago (look at my previous questions). I have decided though, that since the christian way is the best way for my life (People who live without God have ruined lives in the end), and since i refuse to believe all the complexity around us arose out of chance (No way is Evolution true, it's way too flaky for me) I decided to believe in God. Now, of course I still have doubt, but i have to get over it, because God is the best option for me.

the question and answer for "religion" is faith. Now go and find the definition of faith and you will answer your own question. The rest is really details. Belief comes after faith -- if you have no faith -- you have no belief. Case closed. Besides if you do not ask the utility of every creature on earth "like, mosquitoes, hippopotamus etc." why do you keep asking questions on the utility and existence of beliefs and faiths. They are there and we don't have to explain them all. Another case closed, I hope.

I really DO know without a shadow of doubt that God exists. I do know without a shadow of doubt that he sent his son to die for my sins, AND YOUR SINS. Why is it still referred to as faith? Because you can't see it. you believe without seeing physically in front of you. Even some of the people who watched Jesus' miracles didn't believe him. You believe the things you can't see right in front of you because you have good logic and reason to do so, that is what faith is.

There are far more who think they are christian that there are those who truly are... For those of The True Christian Faith The existance of God is an absolute fact... because we have The Truth of our Salvation as God's personal promise... Only God who exists can make that promise..... our Faith is based on Truth... and The Truth is from God.

I accept email questions concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith. All honest seekers are welcome to ask.

If you had a shadow of a doubt that a lifeboat would support you, would you still jump from a sinking ship? I am certain enough after examining the evidence for the Christian faith.

Yes, the majority 'know' beyond a shadow of a doubt. If they had doubts about it, they would either quite or research something else.
