What does it mean to believe in God? What does it involve? How can you show God that you believe in him?

Here is how you your question may be answered to the fullness. If you believe that Jesus is the son of God who came to the world to save the world and redeem mankind from their sins by his death on the cross, and if you believe that Christ resurrected the third day and thus has granted all believers His new nature, the nature of being like Him which brings to you everlasting Life with him in Heaven, then that means that you believe in God. If you do this then you should love God from all your heart and all your mind and all your spirit, and do the will of God whom you love. If you obey God's commandment to the fullest that shows that you love God; if you don't obey, it shows that you hate God.
And Finally, you never have to show God that you believe in Him or not. God is not a man that requires of you to show him that you believe. He who believes in God does the will of God. God knows whether you believe in him or not; He doesn't look at the face, God looks at hearts and He knows what you have in your heart for Him.

To believe in God means that you believe in a power greater than yourself who is the Creator of all things. It involves a decision on your part that this is the absolute truth of our existence, we are created by God, to know Him, to worship Him and to be with Him in Heaven when our time on this earth is finished. Now you come to a decision as to how to know the truth and God can only give you that truth. Trust in Him, Believe in Him and follow Him as He only can direct you. Through the eyes and heart of faith, you will know God and know what He teaches. Ask Him and He will show you the way!

It means that you have faith that God exists and will do what he says. What is faith? Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is being SURE of what we hope for and CERTAIN of what we do not see."
As far as what you can do to show your love, consider Micah 6:8 "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. " This does not earn your salvation, but shows your love for God.

you accept Chirst into your heart knowing and believing he came to this world and lived a sinless life and was tempted, then went to the cross and died for us...all of us!! to pay the price for our sins!!! So Chirst died to save you!!! and me and your mom and my sisters and so on!! When you pray to the lord and give yourself to him asking forgiveness for your sins and letting this truth of Chirst into your heart then and only then will you be w/ God and spend eternity in Heaven!! This is a small price to pay as opposed to what Christ went thru for you and I!! He suffered more than anyone ever or could ever!! this was the only way to save us!! One day i believe soon he then promised he will return and take those of us who accepted his gift of salvation and take us with him home where we belong!! The day you hear the word of THE LORD,YOU HEARKEN AND LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY TO THE WORD OF THE LORD .You have to believe and have some faith inside your spirit within your soul .The word is delivered onto you through your soul onto your spirit within your soul.This is the greatest teaching of all that is taught it prepares your true being to become holy before the MOST HOLY God if you believe in the spirit in me,the spirit in me enters into your spirit and your become a son of God like me its a gift and an ever lasting one at that,you never die you see,like me,in spirit I NEVER DIE ,THE PASSING OF SOUL THE PHYSICAL BODY passes on and releases YOU. and me onto the LORD.For in death there is no time and in everlasting life there no time to measure,.all who every past on since the beginning to end all wake up at the same passing moment,it like going to sleep at night or during the Day you wake up with snap of your finger same goes when you go to sleep on the other side of time,you wake up your there.ALL GOD ASKS OF YOU IS BELIEVE IN THE WORD AND GO OUT INTO WORLD AND GIVE AND LOVE AND FORGIVE ALL IS YOUR BEGINNING OF COMING TO THE LORD all that is yours is a gift to gave to the world and all have something to give in the world and its your love that is to be given onto all
