To avoid any weirdness I used to try to sneak out without waking him up, no phony exchange of phone numbers (not gonna call anyway, or at least hope you don't unless it was a really good one nighter), no trying to remember eachothers name, nothing, you make a clean escape. Whenever I had the guy to my house I would always ask him to leave so I wouldn't have to deal with it, wham-bam, thank you get the hell out of my house, lock the door behind you. Now, if you have a one-nighter and there was a little something there, leave your phone number, give him a kiss goodbye and tell him that you had a really great time (or what you can remember of it) and tell him that you'd like to see him again, if he wants to see you again he'll call you. My current boyfriend (we've been together almost 4 years now) started as a one night stand. In the morning I was getting up to leave and he stopped me and asked "aren't you going to leave me your # or something?", I wrote it on a little piece of scratch paper (that way if he didn't call I would just assume that the # was lost........he still has it to this day) and went to work. He called me that night and we've pretty much been together ever since (we've had a few mini break-ups, no one's perfect). Don't ever limit yourself or think that every one night stand has to be the same, it is possible to meet someone that you really like and, well, you get that weird "first time" thing out of the way real quick and it's smooth sailin' from there (sorta).

It depends.

If the one-night stand was with someone you don't know, usually there is a little bit of akwardness, then you go about your separate ways.

If the one-night stand is with someone you know, usually there is more akwardness and a conversation needs to follow reassuring both parties that it was, indeed, a one-night stand and no one is assuming anything else is going to happen.

Coyote Ugly....... She's lying next to you on your arm..... and you have to chew your arm off to keep from waking her up..
And the nagging question.... How much did I have to drink to go home with her????

lol....a possible change of numbers, but not always I'm surprised you think they last all night long. Most of the time its a hit it and quit it sort of thing.
