I've stayed in many hotels with no 13th floor (or rather, as another answerer has pointed out, they call the 13th the 14th).
Also, check out the seat row numbers the next time you're on an aeroplane!
Can't see the logic myself, even if I believed 13 was unlucky. If my plane crashes when I'm in Row 13, the folks in Rows 12 and 14 aren't going to be having a very good day either.

Some buildings omit the name 13, naming the 13th floor 14th. My building has a 13th floor. I guess the it can be usual in hotels where guests can be "afraid" of getting a room on the 13th floor.

It's very rare to see a 13th floor in buildings, for that very reason.

Well, they all HAVE a 13th floor, just some of them don't call it that. I have been in a lot of hotels that are that way.

actually quite a lot of tall buildings have only floor 12, then straight to 14 -- its rare to see one which has a floor 13
(this is only what i have seen around boston, may be different elswhere)

Yeah, I've heard of this, and even seen it once or twice in tall buildings. Can't remember any specifically, though.
