Lower back pain and a "pinched nerve" are two different things. Lower back pains can be muscular. Pinched nerves are involving the spine and the alignment of vertebrae. Muscles and nerves are not mutually exclusive, but when it comes to why your back hurts and how to treat it, you should be aware that a "pinched nerve" caused by actual misalignment of the spine is not something that will go away with muscle relaxants. You need to do yoga or exercises to help realign your spine and improve your posture. If you have a physical condition like a pinched nerve that developed from the type of work you do (e.g., package handler) and you continue to do the same work, expect your condition to worsen.

I am currently pregnant, about a month and a half now. I didn't get any lower back pain until just recently after standing or walking for long periods of time. I got abdominal cramps and my chest was very sensitive, those were the first things I noticed.

There could be many different problems.....as for me...i have severe scoloisis and i finally had to have my lumber fused. I had 2 major back operations last yr..........then when i was doing physical therapy for my back my hip started hurting real bad and my knee got all swollen.........so i go to the dr. and now i need a total hip replacement and i had to go have an MRI on my knee...man, it's one thing after another....so that's what i'm facing and i hope you don't have to go through all this crap i'm going through...........the chiropractor won't even touch me and i'm STILL in bad pain?????????? It's a mess but good luck to you. I would go see a good spine doctor........that's what i did and he told me from the get go that he couldn't fix me 100% but that he could fix me 80% and i guess he did good b/c i use to could not even stand up straight??????????? Oh! and that hip and knee pain just came up all of a sudden....no warning at all......?????

It may be your syatic nerve[spell check] it is very serious. you may want to go to the docter. and you say you have a pinched nerve..that's probably what it is.

Maybe you need a visit to the chiropractor for an adjustment.
