We need to enforce the laws already in place for a start. We should also consider laws that would punish corporations that hire them as a cheap labor source with not a monetary punishment but one that takes a business license away so that they can not operate any more, then you go after landlords that feel the need to rent housing placing ten to twenty people in a two bedroom home, next you catch them in crimes or being criminals away from mexico and you put them in prison here to do the time for the crime, and then you deport them, you also arrest those involved in wrecks that have no insurance or license to drive legally here put them in prison for that and once they do the time then you deport them place a chip in them so that you know where they are at all times and if they sneak back in you do as mexico does and imprison them not for a few months but for years as they do, and for those that are already here you also do this if you must allow them to stay you fine them 25,000 dollars for each one that crossed the border, find out the length of time that they have been here and what they make where they work and then you figure out the taxes on that money for that period of time and you make them pay those taxes like everyone else here does and then you let them get in line to become citizens, and for those that have had kids here, you do not break up families you instead deport the kids with them and when the kid gets 18 if they want they can come back here as citizens but they must prove it. It would be simple to fix this problem if they wanted it fixed, you would find then that those that are smart would see they writing on the wall and go back home, once you get the employers of cheap labor you solve lots and lots of the problems.

Not a lot we can do about the ones who come here legally and then just stay after their visa expires - there will never be enough enforcement officers to catch them all. But to keep the illegals out - we should install an electric fence along every border with concertina wire at the top for when the power goes out. That should stop at least SOME of them.

I feel sorry for how stupid you people are, i am not pro being illegal here but i don't think of people as dogs, i'm hispanic and a legal citizen but i know very well what drive these people to go through all the crap to come to this country, i love the country, i love the way of living but i hate the people, you think you are better than others when in reality your just another piece of s#it that forms part of how little this planet really is and if i had the power i wouldn't make everybody legal but i would try to help the countries where those people come from so that they do not have to go through so much just to get a chance to live and to eat everyday, your Qs disgust me and you are a narrow minded, nasty, waste of skin

My idea is this---One plane per week leaves each state capital to take illegals home. The power to apprehend these people should be given to the police with a fee to each officer that helps in deporting them. These fees and the plane fare are a small price to pay for their impact on health care and jobs.

A large moat about 300 yards across and as long as the USA border reaches along Mexico, stocked with alligators, pirhana and anything else that kills people. On the side of the USA, if they made it through the moat, would be a deadly electric fence and border patrol agents all along the border to scrape off those who decided not to wait in line and allow the USA to decide who comes into OUR COUNTRY!!!!

Require that citizenship be proven by documentation at time of hire, then penalize the individuals who knowingly hire them.
