The longer I've been out of school, the more I forget what was taught. That's okay though because all of life is a school in session. As so eloquently stated, exercise your brain. An encyclopedia is a good place to start & so is a dictionary. That's my personal favorite, however anything that makes me think is fun.

I watch Discovery, History, & other educational programs. Read on any and all subjects. Talk to people smarter than me & really listen to them....& ask questions, even if they are perceived as stupid.

Focus less upon how smart you think you are, and more on the fascinating variety of subjects around you. And don't forget to make learning *fun*, because even cross-word puzzles and such can teach as well as entertain.

Um, I don't think the encyclopedia is going to do that much good--you would just be reading information, without being in a context where you could reflect on or discuss what you are reading. Why don't you sign up for some college courses?

Get some articles from journals related to your field in which you are working in, and read them and try to understand them. Or get your old course books, and try reading/learning the stuff that has been skipped, or avoided(like the harder chapters).

Intelligence and being smart is like doing exercise, if you stop making exercise you get fat and wobbly and stiff, and if you stop going to school or doing things to help you think you go being less smart... so, exercise your mind, read, do word plays, study, or answer questions here... just exercise your brain.
