I hate flying as well. The terminals are crowded, the airline people are stressed out, and sometimes rude. Your feel like you are just another sheep being herded around. The seats in coach are about two sizes two narrow for the average person. The meals, well lets just say, I think the Army MRE's can be a gourmet meal compared to what the Airlines serve. I can go on. The secret is to like flying is to fly first class.
A side note. I have a friend of mine who is an ATP rated airline pilot, who had to go to a fear of flying class. It seems that whenever he wasn't in the cockpit, he would get sick, and very agitated. The problem was he couldn't deadhead. He said he got a lot of strange looks when he told the people in his class he was an airline pilot. (His airline paid for the class, and so they new he worked for an airline. I told him to tell his class mates, he was a ticket taker.)

There is nothing to be afraid of. You can't be afraid of something that isn't real. There are no real threats to you or your safety present in an aircraft or while inflight.
