This might be tricky, but read through my message several times until you're sure you have it memorized. You say "I hope I don't offend you, but I want to ask you about your beliefs."
Oh, wait...you said that in your question. Never mind.
I can give you a couple of points to remember, though. Once you understand how to respect someone else's beliefs, you have a pretty good shot at having them understand yours. Point #2 is that it isn't always good or easy to turn away from your "native" beliefs- meaning what your parents taught you. So you can respect your friend without converting to her belief system. Point #3 is that different people might have the same name for very different sets of beliefs. In other words, not every Wiccan is exactly the same as every other Wiccan.
Okay, go be a friend.

If you show genuine interest then just ask her I am sure she would be happy to know you are interested, also show her the question that you have put on here, she will then see you are being sincere. If she does tell you about it and it does not seem to be the kind of thing you like make sure you do not make any disparaging remarks, respect her views and support her, thats what friends are for:)

That's like not wanting to ask a salesman about his product, that he might be offended that you might want it. BTW, it is a hodgepodge of spiritualism and most of that is not really formalized, so don't be surprised if you go to another and they don't say exactly the same things. It is almost like trying to tell the difference between baptists and presbyterians only the wiccan don't have a definite scorecard for points.

If you are genuinely interested she will understand that. Tell her you would like to learn more and understand what her belief system is. I doubt she will find this offensive. Do a little background work yourself. Find some reputable websites on Wicca and do a bit of research. (Make sure they are reputable though - - you don't want to believe just anyones garbage). Im sure your friend will be more than happy to talk with you since she knows your truly interested.

Ask her first if it would offend her if you asked questions about it. That way you would know, up front, if she would be offended. If she isnt offended then tell her that if any question you ask offends her to tell you and you will stop asking that question, or you will rephrase it in a way that dosent offend.

Most are willing to discuss their beliefs when asked by someone who is genuinely interested.

Just say that you think it is interesting, and would like to hear more about it. Keep an open mind, and I bet she will love talking about it!

As long as you're not judgemental, she'll probably be delighted to at least tell you the basics.
And you can learn a lot here:
