Why do we Christians make such a big deal over legalization of gay marraige, but we aren't trying to set laws in place against adultery. Homosexuals aren't hurting anybody but their own souls.
But adulterers are rampant and Christian society isn't doing anything to stop it. Like when my dad beat up my mom and left her for another woman the church tried to blame her. I mean no wonder we aren't taken seriously as a religion, we don't care! And what about the women that cheat and than expect alimony! How hipocritical is that!
I think that we should start a bill illegalizing the breaking if the monogamus marraige contract. Because adultery is ruining marraige not homosexuality! Don't you guys think so?
P.S. excuse my poor spelling.

Adultery is illegal in some states, it's just not inforced or brought out. Check out 1 Corinthians 6:9

Right. LIke the question posted a while back here,
"This actually occurred a number of years ago (>20 years);
An Evangelical Church had a good sized worship team (musicians that lead the singing). It was discovered that one man on the team was living with his girlfriend. They were not married nor were they planning on getting married.
About a week later it was discovered that another man on the worship team was battering his wife. The most resent assault was quite severe leaving her with multiple bruises and contusions. He denied that there was a problem and would not seek help. The wife was not willing to press charges or leave the relationship... What would you do if you were pastor?"

In regards to this issue, guess who was throw out of the church? NOT the abuser of women, but the man who lived with his girlfriend. Is this what Jesus would have done? NO.

Very good point. Unfortunately adultery is only a sin when married women are involved. Have you every noticed how many wives and concubines the men of the Bible had? Solomon had hundreds. Try tracing the line of David through that mess!

That is too bad about your mom. Did she get alimony from your dad, hon? If divorce were banned, would the homicide rate go up? Because miserable married people might have to kill their spouses to be rid of them!

The whole idea is to do unto others as you would have them do unto you! It can't get any clearer,no matter what religion

Holy crap no!

Holy crap no!

It bears repeating. I'm not for it, and I'll cut of my husband's testes if he ever did it, but it should NOT be illegal. We don't don't don't need any more of the government telling us what to do.

Argh!
