Does it make you feel lethargic and fatigued? Everytime I take I want to sleep all day!

I took it for a while, and like most of those types of drugs it made me sleepy too. You need to give it a few weeks to see if that side effect goes away before giving up on it. If it doesn't go away, there are plenty of similar drugs out there that you will tolerate. Everyone's body is different.

If Effexor is the only new medication you have been taking ... then it is most likely the Effexor causing that feeling. HOWEVER.. many side effects of medications like this go away after 2 or 3 weeks. If you still have a problem after that .. then see your Doctor .. there are only medications he can use in place of Effexor. ( Such as Cymbalta ) Good Luck ! :)

I've been on it since January this year and I find it really good for my depression actually. If it makes you feel tired, take the tablet at night before you go to bed instead of in the morning. I was told to take mine at night because it might make me a bit sleepy, but in my case it doesn't seem to!
