just because they sound old doesnt mean that you shouldnt use them besides i kind of like them they sound sturdy, and lively and arent wiedr like some of the names you hear today, and if they are family names you really should use them even if you do use them as middle names, beside thats your chose the name that runs in our family for 100s of years is william and thats a very old name but it still sounds sturdy and masculine to me. and im proud of the fact that name runs in my family and i hope that it keeps going and going........

I think Rena is good, different but its nice not to be like everyone else and have a unique name. And for Lois I think it should be used as a middle name only. It does sound old. My boss has that name and she is 68. So automatically when I hear it I think Old.
Good Luck!

Rena is pretty and doesn't sound that old but Lois definately does. How about using Lois as a middle name or even better using Louise as a middle name? I was gonna suggest Rena Louise but that just reminds me of Tina Louise :-)

lois is fine. rena is a little better though. there are sites sayin the meanings of baby names and origins. you should try names from your heritage. like ryan is irish.

Hmmm, maybe as middle names they would be great...but yes, much to old sounding for today. How about making Rena into Reana? That's pretty, then maybe Reana Lois?

They're cool names if you really like them but think that the name Rena would definately be shortened to Reen by friends and family. :-)
