Houston we have a problem! You are experencing a problem that the exhaust shield and reprogams just did not fix. First off you are under eight years and eighty thousand miles. Emissions warranty and Nissan Good will may still applie. Here how it has to go. Run a compression test how much engine oil does it use? Any more consumption lately? If compression does not direct the tech to a "new engine" Another cause of power loss remove the top of the intake manifold and see if the four power valve buterflys are where they are suposed to be not down in the intake blocking the air flow to one or more cyls. Missing throttle power valve screws can be another cause for "new engine". And with a new engine insist that the front cat converter exhaust manifold is also replaced. Arm your self with oil change receipts and service history. It would not hurt call 1 800 NISSAN 1 And get a Customer rep involved. Good luck Not all 2002 altimas need engines about one in a thousand.
