today I had a 103.2 fever and when I went to the docters he sent me to the hospital they gave me an IV. and sent me home after a half an hour can I take it out?

Only if the doctor instructed you to take it out yourself. If the bag is empty call his office and ask if he meant for you to take it out or if he wanted you to come back in for more meds. Don't remove it if there's still medication in the IV bag.

They should never send you home with an IV. You'll bleed like a stuck pig! Go back to the hospital and tell them to take it out.

they should have took it out there self unless they think you will need it again soon.check it out and see what the doctor say.if you don't need it just slid it out and discard it.put some pressure on it.make sure its not bleeding.you will be fine
