Compared to a person who lives as good a life as you do, but does so without believing in GOD, and does so because he understands that what he does is good for humanity. Are you a better person then him, or is he a better person than you?

Whether you believe in God or not is irrelevant--if what you do is truly for the good of mankind, then you are equal to those that do believe in God. Belief in God is a choice. Lack of belief does not remove God from the spirit of men nor does belief place the believer in a higher place than his brother--we are all lacking in that which keeps us in a benevolent mind state--the free will that liberates some also traps others; thus faith is the regenerative place for the soul that seeks ascension--if "factual conclusive evidence" satisfies the soul of my brother then God bless him--the same is to be said of my brother that does not need these things--let knowledge and wisdom both be the tools towards mending these broken fellowships and let time and faith be the best judges...

We don't "fear" God as you have written. We respect, with a deep reverence, worship and adore Him. To fear Him would be not to understand that God is Love.
Better person than anyone else? No, I am no better- I just believe in someone that is better than all.

The fear of the Lord is the fear of failing to do good.

[2] THE PARTICULARS OF FAITH ON MAN'S PART are:

(1) God is one, in whom is a Divine trinity, and the Lord God the Savior Jesus Christ is that one.
(2) Saving faith is to believe in Him.
(3) Evils should not be done, because they are of the devil and from the devil.
(4) Goods should be done, because they are of God and from God.
(5) These should be done by man as if by himself; but it should be believed that they are done by the Lord in man and through man.

I do not fear God. I love him. I believe that the sheer reference to "God-fearing" being a sign of someone who believes in God is a mistaken one.

Those who trully live with God know that the only thing to fear is one's own failings, weakness, and flaws of character.

I like your question and in my eyes you are a God's person. It is a pity that hateful fanatics carrying the banner of religion seem to be putting people like you off the idea of God.

Perhaps you too, would differentiate between people whose mouth's are full of reference to God, and those who carry him in their hearts and live every moment of their lives with him, if you read "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website. There is adifference between religion and spirituality.

No one is better than anyone one because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But what I do encourage you to do is taste and see that the Lord is good. You think that your life is good right now, but with the Lord you'll see how much better it can be.

Well, to answer this we would be judging which of course isn't good, but I do what Gods says becuase he loves me, and I love him, I know he only wants me to be happy and God can see the Whole picture while i can only see what is infront of my face. He is perfect and I am not, so I put my whole trust in him because he knows, what will make me truly happy in the end while sometimes i choose just temporal happiness.

"Fear" of God means to show reverence - not to fear Him.

Believing in God, like doing good works, does not make one person better than another.

The Book says the Fear of the Lord is to respect Him. Because
we know he doesn't make us do anything. Our Creator only
wants us to make life easier for ourselves.
If we break the Law, it's not God who will come after us. It's MAN, and man has no mercy. He will lock you up in prison till you rot from old age, and won't give a damn!

It's not always fear of God. Sometimes it's just wanting to please Him. Sometimes you just know that God knows what's best for you and you do it for your own good. Either way, all goodness is as filthy rags according to the Bible. Unless you have the blood of Jesus, you cannot be justified in God's eyes.

Not all persons are driven by fear of God. Some are driven by love of god.
