Both involve someone being violated. The edge would have to go to rape, but the other can be just as devastating

I think rape is a horrific crime but falsely accusing someone has its devastating consequences also! I would have to go with equal on this one! However, I do agree the sentence for falsely accusing should be substantial because a lot of women use it as "pay back" scheme that destroys a life and possibly many lives!

While the rape may be worse to the individual victim, when someone is falsely accused of a crime like rape not only is the accused victimized but all society suffers as all future rape victims suffer as their allegations are questioned and/or doubted .

falsley accusing someone is much worse although they are both diabolical crimes that should not happen in this day and age,
the reason why i make this choice is this,,
The person accused of rape falsely has two burdens that are difficult to deal with, the prospect of serving a very long sentence and be tarred as a sex offender, and he has his brain killing him with the sense of injustice, people who falsely claim rape should get the sentence the accused would of got if found guilty,
woman who have been raped have it very hard and these morons make it even more difficult..
thanks

Not much of a question. Rape obviously, however that doesn't mean the other is not really bad.

Rape carries the higher sentence. I think you might be trying to think of it in a different way, but I can't tell what.
