Well I am a local donations co-ord. for a charity in my area. If you have a missions statement you can go to local business and ask for donations such as items to put in a basket for that charity you are donating to if a woman's shelter let's say then ask for bath products like bath gels, salts, towel etc., a children's charity then books, crayons, toys, and a stuffed animal to put in a basket. You get the idea have each person on your chair committee if you have one or volunteers to bring in a theme basket dependnig on your charity set a min./max spending limit. then at the event hold a silent basket auction. Put a list of what items are in each basket give the basket a number and then put a sign-up sheet with that same basket number in front so each person can see the last bid or a box with the same corresponding number to basket and they can write name and bid and place it in box and wait until the end of the night to take out bids. If any duplicates call those people over and ask if they want to rebid so you can have a bidding war this can be fun. the person with the highest bid would win. After you can ask if they would like to donate the baskets to your charity and depending on laws for a tax write off and you can keep a portion of the auction funds and donate the rest to your charity a win/win situation for everyone. Good luck! happy fund raising!

right here's an theory that worked for our crew and we raised extra money than we idea we ever ought to. anybody contained in the gang places a field of their motor vehicle. Then at the same time as ever they get any change like at a stress through or something, they placed it contained in the sector. once the change is going in it ought to no longer come out till it really is time to count number it. My husband on my own raised $40 2.ninety 5 in only a month. He travels plenty and hits stress through abode windows yet he also emptied his wallet on the top of the day and placed that decision in too. try it and also you'd be very taken aback through the quantity you'll income.

You could have a free car wash. How it works is to advertise a car wash for free and the only thing people give is donations. We raised a lot of money that way. You could also raffle off something. Sell tickets for a chance to win something.

The simplest thing, of course, is a 50/50 raffle. Sell tickets for $5. Pull the winning ticket and then you split the pot with the winner. If you sold $100 in tickets - winner gets $50 and organization gets $50.
So simple!

While bake sales bring in a good amount of money, you may also consider selling a plate. Such as a spaghetti dinner plate. My small church group did it and we earned a good deal of money for little to no investment. (We all made spaghetti sauce from the same recipe and then made noodles)

I hear the restaurant "Outback" will sell buffett tickets for $5 and you can sell them for any price you want to keep as profit. They will close the place down for a couple hours just for you and your party.
Good luck

there is a cool variation off the free car wash. it's called a topless car wash. you wash the car but you don't wash the top unless, they pay a suggested donation price.
