Its all down to the genes: someone in your family may well have had premature greying or white hair and IT IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.
I have been a paramedic for 15 years and have seen children of 8 or 9 with a full head of perfectly healthy hair all white. you have no cause for concern.
If you want any more advice look for TRICHOLOGY in search engines and that should take you to the right website........eventually!!! I hope this helps

That's quite young, but I don't think it's anything to worry about.
My hair started going grey what I was in my early teens. About 15 years later and I'm still no where near totally grey!
I think as hair colour is genetic that will have a big impact but I know of no medical problem with having grey hair. I think it makes younger people look ace actually!
My only advice would be to not worry about it – if your son picks up on it, the poor lad may develop a complex about it. Make him feel like it's something special that makes him, him!

Don't worry. My cousin has had them since he was about 5 and he's now 16. It's just grey hairs, that's all. He now colours his hair but only for the last few months, he lived with his grey patches quite happily but thought he'd colour it as a surprise for his prom.
It's not something you see all the time but its not anything to worry about however if you still are concerned just nip to the docs and have it confirmed.

I don't think you should worry about it too much. My cousin had like a head full of grey hair when he was 19. If it worries you too much, you can probably take him to see a doctor. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Is it only one or two, is your child feeling under stress, my son had a few grey hairs when he was about 9 ,(he had alot of trauma, with me and his father splitting up) i pulled them out, he is now 20 and has not got any signs of grey hair.
Don't let him see that you are worried as he will think he has got one hell of a problem and that alone will stress him out

I'm not sure why they do, premature greying is genetic but my little boy is nine and has a few white ones - do you think it's stress?
