Then why is it that people are opposed to shooting the criminals who try to escape from Mexico into the US? Just as the prisoners must do their time in jail, Mexicans should do their time in Mexico, waiting until they are legally allowed to come here. And if they don't, we should blow them away, right?

Yes they are......but most people see it as, Mexican illegals are just here for a "better way of life." As I see it, so are the thousands of LEGAL immigrants that come here every year, who learn English, who embrace our culture and country as their own, and are proud to become American. They're the ones who deserve to be given a better chance at life, they are the ones we should be helping. Illegals are just that, ILLEGAL.

No. We would be killing innocent people. How can you determine if someone is a criminal just by the way they run across the border? We would be killing innocent people. But here is something that might make you feel better: If there is a disaster or any type of threat to the integrity of a prisons walls, guards are ordered to kill all prisoners whether they are trying to escape or not, no matter what their custody level or remainder of sentence, etc.. They are supposed to kill them rather then let them go free. Since you apparently hate criminals so much, why don't you do your part and pray for a natural disaster.

WOW.....I'm sorry that you are so closed minded that you refuse to allow ppl to come to this country in search of a better life...yes, they should wait for proper paperwork and all of that red tape but most of them would probably die of malnutrition, starvation, or the horrible unsanitary conditions that they live in....these ppl aren't coming here to steal jobs or whatever else it is that closed minded right wing conservatives have in their heads.....i don't see anyone I know running down to do the menial labor jobs that most illegal immigrants take when they come to this country.....the area that I live in most Mexicans work in meat processing plants and do odd jobs and housework for less than minimum wage and are damn happy to do it....they live 15+ to a house just to save and send money back home to the ones that didn't make it....I really hope that you never have to experience the level of poverty and despair that they come from...and that you open your heart and mind just a little and realize that things must be pretty bad for them to risk life and limb just to come here and pluck chickens and sell oranges by the freeway....and to answer your original question guards are not allowed to use deadly force until prisoners cross the "gun line" which is the perimeter around the prison, then they are allowed to shoot to kill...

No, just as a prison would probably not shoot someone that passed bad checks and is trying to escape. There is some balance between their risk to society and the severity of the action to keep someone locked up.

Hell no! Is it ok that Rodney King was beaten in the street? Shouldnt he jsut have been shot in the head (per your logic) one crime does not equal death. It equals a fair trial then punishment depending on the outcome. Did you get a speeding ticket this year...do you deserve to die?

People are not in Mexico because they did anything wrong. Most of them just want to be able to get some money to feed their families. I'm sure your psychotic suggestion would be altered a bit if you were from Mexico.
