Christening is dedicating your child to Christ. So the equivalent is simply Christening. There is no other but Jesus Christ. It is the same for all cultures as long as it is called a Christening.

Which American Indian culture are you curious about. Most of the indigenous cultures of the north american continent had some form of naming ceremony.

Do you mean "baptism" and "Native American" culture? If so, than there is a ceremony in our culture called "Naming Ceremony". In this ceremony, the baby receives it's traditional (spirit) name and instead of "godparents" they receive "sponsors" which essentially means the same thing as a godparent. A huge feast is prepared of traditional foods (wild meat, rice, 3 sisters, etc.) and there is a "give-away" at the end. There is probably a lot more to it - this is as much as I know.

Which Native American culture do you mean? I suspect that the Iriquois probably did things like that in ways that were quite different from the Aztecs.
