Im considering purchasing a condo in Milwaukee, and want to know what the Pet ordinances are for Condos(this is what the Condo owner told me I must comply with apprently?) Such as if there is a limit to size of the dog, and number of animals you are allowed to own? I don't know if there is a city rule or something for pets? Any info would be great, thanks!

I live in a condo in WA, and the dog has to be 45lbs or less. it depends on which condo and company you go with. good luck.

The city of Milwaukee had a pet limit of a combination of 3 dogs and cats when I looked into it for someone a few years back, but you may want to check with the county clerk’s office to see if that has changed.

The size and any breed restrictions would be set by whom ever is in charge of those particular condos. If you have to join some sort of association after purchasing the condo I would get their name from the current owners and contact them yourself with these questions.

Each condo association has different limits, or do not allow dogs at all. My condo association limits size and weight to a medium size dog, with actual measurements it must fall under.

Try looking at Chapter 78 of the Milwaukee City Charter and Code of Ordinances:

"Animals"
http://cc-codenew.milwaukee.gov/code/volume1/ch78.pdf

The one condominium community I lived in had its own internal set of rules (sometimes called "covenants") that dictated what size of dog you could have. I think generally city rules only talk about what *kind* of pets you can't have (i.e. no exotic pets, Pit Bulls, etc.)

Im sure your condo regulations are going to be stiffer than any city ordinance.

Each condo will have its own rules and regulations. You should read these before you buy.
