I drink Coffee 24/7. After a while, like other addictions, the effects of the caffiene are not as severe and it simply acts as a mild stimulant. Over the years, I wish I had kept track of all of the articles that showed health BENEFITS to drinking coffee.

Basically, it matters more what you put IN the coffee (high fat milk, etc.) than the coffee matters itself. Here are a few articles on health benefits:

Also, an article that may exlpain why it IS actually dangerous for SOME people to drink large amounts of coffee:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/07/AR2006030701897.html

At any rate, 1 cup seems hardly sufficient to cause any concern.

I believe so, due to the antioxidants (it has more than tea). However, caffeine is an addictive drug, and you will soon be drinking 12 cups of coffee a day. You will get terrible headaches (withdrawals) when you try to stop drinking it. The good news is that you'll get TONS of antioxidants that way!

Coffee has antioxidants in it, like many other healthy substances. Studies have also recently shown that it can help with certain liver diseases. Limiting yourself to one cup will keep you well under the levels of caffeine intake most doctors believe to be dangerous.

drinking a lot is clearly bad, but some studies have indicated that there are antioxidant benefits from coffee, and some possible benefits to some people from the caffeine.

Lotsa' coffee is definately bad.

one cup a day is definitely not a problem if you have low or normal blood pressure.
I personally have low blood pressure and it helps me regain my energy when I feel weak.
However, i am switching to Green Tea because it tastes better and doesn't have that nasty aftertaste coffee has.
if you have high blood pressure, I'd suggest to drink Green Tea. It contains substances that boost your metabolism without raising your blood pressure even more

Pretty much and also depend on your caffeine intake level, too. I sometime have 2 cup and espresso in one day and still get good sleep at night.
