it depends on the antibiotic, strength given, how it's given, if the strain of bacteria you have is resistant, how your body reacts with this antibiotic and a slew of other things I'm sure... when i was given a shot of high power antibiotics for early stage pneumonia i felt a lot better (though not perfect) the next day.. other times it's take 2-3 days with some oral pills to notice a difference.. but that's just for me on the few antibiotics I've had to take in my life.. so in other words there's no way to tell.. but i it's been 4-5 days and still no improvement I'd def. put in a call to my doctor and let him know what's going on.

Depending on your illness, you should feel mildly
better in three days, however it could take up to two or three weeks to become 100%. Check to see how many pills he gave you and if there is a refill. After all your pills are gone, you should fell at least 50-60% better.You can always ask for a refill.

That depends on if it was really bacterial to start out with.
lots of time they are viral and we mistakenly treat them with Bactrim.
If they are bacterial, usually it is about 48 hours or so.
