6 week old pups will pee about every half hour or more.
You should be giving them puppy food free choice and letting them eat what they want of it and letting them nurse ifthey mom will still let them. If not feed puppy food four times per day.
Pick one type of food and stick with it. Diet changes in dogs can give them upset stomachs and other sypmtoms.
Feed one food and feed at regular times and get them on a schedule. Since they are not vomiting and do not have diarreha they should be fine in a couple of days.
I would try not to change what they are eating as changing food can cause this to happen.

are you sure it is colic and not colitis? The symptoms of colitis are diarrhoeah . I would get another vet to look at them because it sounds like yours doesn't have a clue. Puppies normally wee a lot. Have they been wormed yet? They should have had at least 2 worm doses from the vets as well as their 6 weeks injections.

Ok i have the same problem. When my yellow lab was a puppy, she was put in a metal inclosure away fom her bros and sisses and even parents. She has terrible seperation issues as a grown dog. They used to be worse though. She used to ALWAYS have to touch somebody. She lays ONTOP of anybody (including grandparents and guests) when she sleeps and when she's awake. What we did that really helped a LOT was that we trained her at a low age,(builds a dog's self-confidence) played with her a lot, gave her OVER attention,(dogs NEED some alone time someday)and let her sleep on the floor- NOT the bed!

Have they been checked for coccidia or giardia?
If they're "not that bothered about it," what exactly are they doing that has you worried? As long as they are eating well and maintaining their hydration, it's probably no concern just yet. What makes you think they are "colicky" (not really an issue in pups)??? At this age, their GI tracts are often adjusting to solid food, and it's not unusual to have a short time to adapt. The chicken/rice for short-term is easy to digest, and helps ease the transition (although not usually necessary for most pups.)
Don't use Pepto unless your vet tells you to. Your DVM has seen your pups....no one here has. Please follow his advice, or seek a second opinion from a different veterinarian. :-)
P.S. You're not giving them milk are you??? That's one of the most COMMON causes of tummy upset in puppies and kittens.

If it is colic you can give colic drops for babies.
Be sure they get enough to drink as it can cause the same symptoms as colic

i have bred a few litters of pups in my time and i suggest you try giving them a little lamb lac to drink this can be got in any animal food supplies or in your case try your local co op.
this is given mixed one cup of the powder to 1 ltr of water and it will also give the mother a break in feeding you will find your puppies will thrive on the stuff also sprinkle a little on the bitches food as well.

At 6 weeks i think it might be worms? Did the vet notice any?i think worming them is a good place to start. restrict their food intake till they settle down and then introduce bland food slowly.
