Ooh mummy can I be stoned next...no I wanna ride the crucifixion... what time is the rolling away of the stone? I can't miss Christ rising from his tomb again... Daddy can I get a crown of thorns too?

I am not even Christian (though raised as one) and I find this appalling. Surely Jesus doesn't just weep - he is having fits!

Oh that I were clever enough to make this up! Seriously - the front page of the paper today (Van) shows a US them park with visitors gawking at the Christ bleeding down the street at the daily passion play....

I believe that a man named Jesus lived and did good works but I don't believe in religion. Even a devout atheist would find this just gross and more proof of the ridiculousness of US Christianity

I know Christ and he would have torn this crud up as though he were clearing out the money lenders...

Clearly I would not spend one well earned cent on such a place. Of course I joked about the rides and attractions - that should have been clear to most people. We all have our own ideas of blasphemy and this meets all of my criteria. That this isn't as apparent to actually practicing Christians is pretty freaking scary given that they have no problem warning me of the fiery eternity in hell that I face just for daring to think for myself and question religion.

I'm not Christian, and have never been to one of those parks that you describe. However, somehow it doesn't bother me that the parks exist or that some people might enjoy going to them.
There are many things that some people like but I don't. I don't like fish at all ( food, that is ), but it doesn't bother me at all that others enjoy eating fish.
I never knew what goes on in a Christian park, just never had the interest. You must have spent some time in one in order to see stones being rolled and thrown, people wearing thorns, etc. Just why do you spend the time and entrance fee if you're a non-believer ?
The other wonderment is what's the difference to you ? There are Wicca groups popping up. That doesn't mean we should all make a bunch of horses' you-know-whats of ourselves by long statements here on answers.

blasphemous? firstly how can you not know christ and define blasphemy? secondly if you paint them like you have they do sound pretty bad. I have only been to one and thats Holy Land in orlando Fl. I was passing through on business and saw the signs and decided to see what it was about. I would not have called it a theme park, there were shows and plays depicting biblical stories and events and also some museum type buildings with historical displays...was pretty nice actaully.

Make up your mind...you know christ, your not a christian...what is it? Passion plays have been a source of ministry for a long time...it allows people to first hand see a taste of what christ suffered in order to save you. As long as it done tastefully and is purposed for the edifying of christ there is no blasphemy.

On another note if you become saved if you accept christ and become a christian you cant undo it...you may have been raised by good christian people...you may have even went to chusrch every sunday...but if it was this easy for you to walk away from god i have to doubt you ever were a christian

Christian theme parks...interesting. I'm a Christian and I think that's wierd. I checked out the link you had. Totally strange, to put it mildly. I'd prefer going to a real theme park or going to the real Jerusalem. Not Jerusalem in Orlando.
(So wierd!)
