Use a mixture of 50/50 white vinegar and water, in between your shampoo and conditioner - it stinks a bit, but gets rid of the flakes. I found that anti-dandruff shampoos actually made my dandruff worse - I was allergic to some of the ingredients. You might want to get a dermatologist to look at it - it might be dermatitis, or psoriasis.

There are special shampoos that you can use.
But here are some tips for you: Don´t rub your head, because you can get bruised. You gotta rinse very well, don´t let products in you hair. Avoid eating of greasy food. Don´t wash you hair with hot water. If your hair has dry ends, try to use a light-weight leave-in conditioner only at the ends.
If that doesn´t work, it´s better to check a doctor.

Jeez...I thought everyone in the world knew about the shampoos and medicines they have. Before wasting your points on questions...take a zip through wal-marts hair department people. its affordable, and has a ton of brands.

H & S leaves a very unpleasant residue. I use Neutrogena T/Gel. It smells mediciny, but by the time you have rinsed and styled your hair, the smell has dissipated. I have severe scaling, and this is the only one that has worked.
