Yes, they can get along fine. The cat may at first think the ferret is something to attack and eat...but believe me..ferrets can hold their own and will soon show the cat they are NOT a prey item. Just introduce them slowly, and they should be fine.

I have heard that they aren't natural enemies, but not 100% sure of that. best to introduce them slowly and keep close eyes on the situation till you know what is going to happen. best to keep the farret cage in a room your cat can't get to when nobody is around.

Cats and Ferrets get along quite well. The are very fun to watch play.

Provided the cat is not a hunter(outside cat) and the ferret is not extremely temperamental, (females can be)you should have no problems. They will even learn to use the same cat box.

I had a ferret, and he got along great with my cat, but he made real friends with my pot bellied pig, and they were constant buddies. Just introduce them slowly to each other, and they should be fine
