We specifically told the dealer that we DO NOT want a certain finance company and that's who we ended up with. We took possession of the car last Thursday night, it is now Monday. We have heard that you have 3 business days to back out of the contract in Oregon. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

depends on the dealer... not all dealers offer a take-back.

Technically you have 72 hours after the sale has been consummated to request a nullification of the contract. However, the car must be returned in the same condition it was when you first signed.
I am curious, how did you sign a contract without knowing who the financer was? YOur dealer's financial rep is obligated to go through the contract with you and point out certain things, like interest rate and payments, etc.

I am not sure about the laws there, but, here in Ca. It states that you have 3 business days to find your own financing if you do not like who the dealership financed you through.
As far as lemon laws are concerned , I believe that you have you have to prove that your car has been in a repair shop for at least 85% of the time that you have owned the car on valid repair issues that can not be resolved in a reasonable amount of time. They are very hard to prove and to win.

I myself have also heard 3 days. some auto companies offer longer though as a special. i really think i heard that one manufacturer was offering a 30 day return policy i'm not sure though. if you got a lemon though you've got a case. at the same time you can probably get it refinanced with who you want
