Depends how long after, but 'normal' feelings can be numbness or itchiness or tightness.
Apply a moisturising cream 2x daily - the cheapest option would be aqueous cream, although creams with vitamin E in, or emu oil are more expensive but generally better.

after you have had your stitches out .
You may still feel slightly tender, for a week of so
this is mainly from bruising to the abdominal muscles
The site may also feel itchy as it is healing .
An appendectomy operation, is now a very small incision. and heals quickly, with little or no scaring .
It will feel smooth and be like a thin white line or invisible after a few months ;
Note;
If you get ache / pain ,redness or swelling, in the area of operation
in the three weeks, afterwards,
see the Doctor as soon as you can
.
As you may have an infection in the wound site .
And you may require anti biotics to treat that .
I hope you will make a swift recovery

excellent question. I just had an appendectomy 3 weeks ago and since it was laproscopic surgery, I only had 3 incisions. The largest is numb and the other two are just itchy.
