When you straighten your hair, use a section at a time. For example, straight your hair starting at the bottom and moving your way up. Always use a shiner or SOMETHING inbetween your hair and your iron.
Also, don't use wet hairspray or gel afterwards. Afterall, why would you put something wet in dry hair if you know it will just become wavy again? Arosel is best. When you do straighten your hair, don't straighten out. Turn the iron so that it runs down your hair--it will help get loose strands.
DO NOT use the hot iron every day. If you do, your hair will become VERY damaged after even just a little bit of time. Ask yourself if it's really worth it. I need an iron to straighten my hair too, but unless I'm going out, I just blow dry my hair and use a curling iron to curl the ends.

Use a professional flat iron, u can purchase one from Sallys Beauty Supply, the ones from general stores usually dont get hot enuf to straighten it, with my clients I start with a shampoo and conditioner that helps to relax it, Sleek Look by Matrix is a good one, then I put straightening creme before I blow it dry, I get the hair almost completely dry then start in the back with sections using a big paddle brush, when I flat iron I also section off starting in the back at neck. Small sections of hair, I spray with a flat iron spray to protect it and help straighten it. I finish with a little hair gloss or spray shine. I do alot of chemical straighteners and dont know why urs did not take well. I usually have great results.

it is almost impossible to get pin straight hair if yours is wavy or curly.i have the same problem.they will relax the wave.if there is still a little body to it,blow dry and use flat iron if necessary. also try Paul Mitchell's Straight Works.put an ample amount, depending on amount and length of hair)in damp hair, work through good, then blow dry using a flat, paddle brush.brushing down as you dry. do not use any other brush for you will damage the hair.

well u should have chemically straightened ur hair from a reputed salon. a lot of places don't do it right. if done correctly it is supposed to last 6 months.
use a ceramic plated hair straightener. take small sections of ur hair and then pull along the length of the hair with the straightener. after straightening apply serum it will add shine to ur hair.

Well, i have long blond hair, and have had all my life but for my last birthday i decided to get it layered and ever since it has had a tendency to go wavy and sometimes even a bit frizzy! But i learned to deal with it. if you want a sleek straight, or for that matter bouncy ringlets, try Carmen they are heated curlers and straighteners that make your hair look effortless and shine i also use tresemme and tony and guy to make it easy and smooth!! Go for it but i would get your hair cut regularly if you are going to straighten it allot because use allot of products and heat can make hair brittle and prone to split ends. Good luck!

i didnt think they still did that. my mum has curly hair n hates it i occassionally straighten it for her with my GHDs she's asked in numerous salons all around my city and no one will do it most of them wont do the treatment full stop saying it doesnt really work.
maybe try using ceramic straightners i can get my hair poker straight with my GHDs when i want to. but it doesnt often last all day i think its jus my hair tho wot ever i do it doesnt last if i curl it it'll drop quickly i straighten it n by the end of the day or with a tiny bit of moisture it loses tht orginal straightness. so maybe your like me and theres not much u can do??

the best hair staightener is a ceramic one, i suggest one by hot tools, it runs about $50, but it works wonders. i have very curly hair as well and have had my hair chemically straightened, it didnt work well at all. also try to use a cilicon base defrizzing serum' it will help alot

I have pin straight blonde hair that I try to curl all the time.
we always want what we dont have.
:-)
Use a styling product in your damp hair then blow dry it on low while brushing it out. dont brush it back but brush it down and from underneath.

well if your hair is naturally wavy, take a shower, blow dry your hair then straiten it... or curl it no matter what you'll look great
