Montreal steak sauce, made by Club House. Rub it into the meat a couple of hours before grilling...absolutely scrumptious!

I just made this last night...but it's not a marinade.
Cook the steak...no marinade. I use a stove top griddle and I cooked a filet last night. I melted up some butter, and into the melted butter I added a little bit of cracked black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, parsley and rosemary. I didn't measure anything, and actually only grabbed the first spices I saw, but this turned out really well.

If you have a good steak, the only thing it needs is salt and pepper (after cooking). Why douse it with Heinz 57, A-1, ketchup or any other sauce after cooking? Or soak it in some other liquid before cooking? If you have a truly excellent steak, you should want to taste the flavor of the steak--not barbeque sauce, italian dressing, or anything else.

This is a favorite of mine as well as all my friends.
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
1/4 soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed or chopped
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
dash Worchester sauce
I put all ingredients in a baggie or covered bowl, along with steak (also great with pork or chicken) and marinate a few hours. Good for 2-4 steaks. Just cut ingredients in half for 1 or two steaks.

I would use the bottled Italian salad dressing. Very fast and makes a nice tasting marinade too. You can also try some of the other vinegar and/or wine based salad dressings too to change and vary the flavors.

2 tbsp Worchestershire
2tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
2 tbsp chopped garlic
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 tbsp italian seasonings or oregano
salt and pepper to taste.
Combine all ingredients and mix well, then pour over your meat and let it sit in marinade for about 1-2 hours (if you have time) if not, rub it on meat and let sit for about 10 minutes and cook steak like you prefer.

My hubby has developed a baste that you use while you're grilling your steak, it keeps them very moist, juicy and tender. I know this is going to sound weird, but he takes an entire stick of butter, melts in a small pot, adds liquid smoke, A1, worchershire sauce, lemon juice, pickle juice and i'm sure there are more that I'm missing. If you wanna try it, email me and I"ll send ya a jar of it, but you have to add the butter to this liquid.

I use Worcestershire sauce! Put a layer of meat, rub in Worcestershire sauce with fingers then sprinkle meat with seasoning salt! (May repeat layers of meat) Steaks will be tender and well marinaded!
