Why are christians allowed to use their religious writings (the bible) as "proof" of their god's power and existence BUT I can't use religious writings (ancient egyptian hieroglyphs which predate christianity by thousands of years) as proof of the power and existence of Egyptian gods?
When will you accept RA?
Why do you risk being cast into the Tomb of 10,000 snakes?
Why is it that followers of my religion, built the greatest structure ever known to man (the great pyramid) thousands of years before jesus (who was a carpenter) had the technology to build and live in a "mud hud"?

Spot's Fox: why do you lie? "Scientifically validated"??? Are you telling me that the "history channel" faked the video footage of the pyramids & hieroglyphs and the scientists who translated the writings just "made it up"? Please give me the scientific validation for "talking snakes" mentioned in your bible???? btw-you are an idiot.

supergirl: What evidence do you have to support these Wild Claims? The Bible? I'll accept your "proof" if you accept mine.

Sunny: you can't prove that claim. Just because somebody wrote that story in the bible...doesn't mean it happened that way. You and I both know that your bible was written after jesus died and it was based on stories and scrolls that offer NO proof of their historical accuracy. Why don't any of the ancient egyptian scrolls describe the same stories in the old testament? Why didn't these egyptians convert? I trust the egyptians 1st hand recordings of THEIR history, not your bible which was written thousads of years later and based on handed down stories that can't be trusted (didn't you play telephone when you were a kid? Don't you know what happens to stories when told & retold?)

By now I should think it is obvious that the ancient Egyptians were a most advanced society that ever existed. Their science and technology is unrivaled even by modern standards and they left the pyramids as proof. Just look at the sacred math coded into the dimensions of the pyramids. Look at the construction. The pyramids contain PERFECT 90 degree angles. Most modern buildings cannot claim this. As far as their religion, no one can refute their claims and beliefs. They are as justified as any other religion, so it would be wise if we all bowed to Ra as not to risk the Tomb of 10, 000 snakes. Would you want to risk it? What if you are wrong (as you Christians like to ask atheists).

I felt that way, too. What makes their magic real but any mention in some other religion is considered silly nonsense?
I looked into the Egyptian religion a little and I've already come across several different meanings of a particular god/goddess but that hardly made the issues I already had with the Bible any less of a deterrent. I haven't come across any particular faith I've found to be 100% reliable, but I'm in the process of reading a book called 'The Jesus Mysteries' that I really like. It seems to be describing Gnosticism and how it's related to both paganism and Christianity.
I still have 'faith' in more than one deity, but I don't know that this, or the Gnostic religion, meant God to be a figure with a human-like personality instead of a conglomeration of everything.
Oh, BTW, why hasn't Ra or Isis or Osiris or Bast or anyone made it perfectly clear that Xianity is a false religion run by Set?!

Well i love Egyptology but i am a christian and if you can see that back in history that the Egyptians had GODS knowledge in the pure times not meaning multiple gods at the time of KING TUT his mother NEPHRITI they worshiped only one god the god of the sun well who shines more brightly than the morning star but GOD stated in the BIBLE. This is why all of the records and hieroglyphs of her were destroyed. Because she became powerful and didn't need all the other false priests, and at the beginning she started making animal and burnt offerings to the one true GOD so you see this does relate to the BIBLE and many of the false priests with their false idols or gods as you call them caused an uprising against her and she was killed. Then came KING TUT her son too young to know any different went back to the advice of the priests and false leaders this went on until the appearing of MOSES and the EXODUS around 1500BC the time lines are now just being but together and the scientific world is also finding substantial fact in this time line to prove that these things did occur. Like the reed sea not red sea parting due to a earthquake in the Mediterranean and the volcanic eruption of Crete at the same time causing a tsunami. Now leading to the time of Jesus it was GODS choice to send his word rapped in flesh not as a KING of worldly riches but to show that he had the riches of love for the world by sending his most precious gift his son to die in a humilating way and to suffer for our sins so we could have the gift of eternal life. Well the egyptians believe in the life here after didn't they? If Jesus came to the oppresed people in finery would they have listened? no. He came as they would know him a simple carpenter as you say! well in order to reach the people you need to know the people he spoke in many parables in the BIBLE which you can read in several chapters for yourself he said he could send legions of angels to save him and they would come but that was not his purpose. He had to die so we could live as it says in the BIBLE if you want info. read it for yourself the NIV version of the BIBLE this might give some insight.to your ?'s

The Bible is older than the Egyptians. Christianity is younger, but we follow the Bible.
Do you remember the story of Moses. Do you know of all the plagues that God sent. Every plague God sent was one of the Egyptian gods. Yes that's right spelled with a lower case g. Remember that none of their gods were able to help them.
You can believe anything you want. You can believe in the sun god the, moon god, the frog god and the fly god, the cat god, but none of them will help you. They are all make believe. But by all means knock yourself out, believe what you want.

What about the Great Wall of China, Angkor Wat, the Hanging Gardens, Stone Henge, the Colloseum, the Collosus of Rhodes, Machu Pichu, and the Taj Mahal? The only thing I disagree on is the fact that you claim the pyramids to be the greatest structure!

The Bible can not be used to "prove" God... that is not it's intent... the Bible of The True Christian Faith is not intended for non-believes... it has no meaning for them at all... No one "finds God" through The Bible... though it can be a starting point for one open to the leading of The Holy Spirit.... If God wants to make himself know to a particular individual He will... until then no one has proof of God.

Who is stopping you? Everybody is free to express their own belief? Just do not force those who do not believe in it. We accept you as you are. The followers of our religion also built magnificent temples and churches after Jesus.

Well, perhaps that is your cup of tea. Not everyone has to agree with what you agree with. If that is what makes you happy than that's fine. My faith in God isnt just based on scriptures in the bible its based on relationship. Many things that happened in my life wasnt one big coincedence.

The Bible is a supernatural work of God's inspiration... It has been historically, prophetically and scientifically validated. Egyptian hieroglyphics have not.
What does RA stand for?
I'm not risking being cast into the Tomb of 10,000 snakes... I've never heard of it before.
Jesus wasn't concerned with building pyramids... he was interested in saving the world... huge difference... pyramids won't save you... Jesus will.
