Hey, what's the worst thing that can happen? She can say no, and you won't get to go out with her. If you don't ask her, you won't get to go out with her.
Realize that if she says no, it doesn't mean there's something wrong with you.
You might try chatting with her a few times first, at school or wherever you see her.

You'll find your confidence after you realize there's nothing bad in rejection. You can't really force yourself to be confident and accept these things, they'll come when you're ready for it. While waiting for that, just talk to people, girls and boys, socialize, have fun and be yourself. No need to rush things.
