Pope was telling the truth and the fact that Muslims attacked churches (house of god) and killed people, only proves it.

For those of you that enjoy attacking Christians, this is what you need to know:
1. Jesus and Moses did not grab a sword get on their horse and go around killing people and making them convert.
2. Those that killed in the name of Christianity, did it for power and money, and not because it was taught to them!!!!!
PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE POSTING STUPID COMMENTS ON HOW CHRISTIANS HAVE DONE THIS OR THAT!

In the Koran, Sura 9 verse 5 commands Muslims to kill unbelievers. Mohammed was peaceful in the beginning but later killed unbelievers.
Mohammed was the perfect example of a man living in submission to Allah. Either it is ok to kill unbelievers and Mohammed was perfect, or Mohammed was wrong when he killed unbelievers.
But Islam teaches that the later verse corrects the earlier verse. So since Sura 9 was the last chapter written it is the most correct. Being peacful as a muslim means you are a bad Muslim, not a good one.
Also Mohammed married a 6 year old girl named Aiyasha and consummated that marriage when she was 9. Mohammed was 51 or 53 years old. Muslims cannot say this is wrong because the Prophet is supposed to be perfect.
Sharia law also commands Muslim gov't to kill any Muslim that converts to a different religion.

What Muslims are doing around the world is cruel, insane and it DOES NOT represent the true Islam. They will go to hell for this and Muhammad (PBUH) did not preach that. You have to read the history along with the Quran to understand what it says. It is not fair of anyone to make such an absurg generalized statement about any religion.
All the killings that take place in america today (rapes, murders, kidnapping, columbine, jon benet ramsey...to name a few) is not because they are following some religion, but it's because of the people who have gone astray. It can happen in any religion.

It is really bizarre to see the way Muslim apologists think.
For example, there's the post by Chari above. To prove Islam's capacity for peaceful relations with Christians and Jews, she begins by saying "In 1514, Sultan Selim captured Jerusalem and the surrounding area."
Wow, that's really the actions of a peace-loving people, isn't it? If Muslims really think that conquering foreign lands and forcing the natives to live as second-class citizens is a peaceful activity, then they should have absolutely no problem at all with Christians and Jews doing the same thing to them.

And then there are the posts like the one immediately above. Good grief, people, wake up!
Christians certainly committed crimes during the Crusades and the Inquisition, but that was centuries ago. Nothing we do today can change it. The crimes of the past do not justify crimes in the present. Stop using the Crusades and Inquisition as an excuse for violence today.

I will answer your question with a question of my own. How can you ignore the atrocities committed by the Catholic Church? What about all of the Muslims killed in the crusades at the hands of Catholics with the blessing of the pope? What about all the Muslim mosques destroyed and the women and children killed by the so called soldiers of god? What about all of the native Americans killed by Jesuit missionaries for not abandoning their pagan beliefs and embracing the word of god? Do you realize that millions of people have been killed in the last 2 thousand years in the name of your god? People who's only crime was not believing in your god. The behavior of the people that follow your god has been just as animalistic as the followers of any other faith if not more animalistic. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I'm atheist by the was so don't let the scripture quoting fill your head with the wrong idea. But shouldn't you be following your own scriptures. Judge not lest ye be judged.

The Answer is YES Always. If Islam keep threaten other religion, attack, killing in other country that is cause the war. Other religion don't hate Islam, because other religion hate Violent !!!, In other religion we cannot kill, burn, rape just because you attack our religiion. NO OTHER RELIGION WILL AGREE WITH THAT, But Islam DO, So Islam need to stop hating other religion, Which They cannot because base on Their Al Quran.
If They say extremist, terrorist are not from Islam, So what are they come from. Did they go to the special Mosque to be Terrorist or Extremist, The answer is NO. They go to the same mosque, their faith are base on Al Quran. I grow up in Indonesia, my house are close to mosque, I already hear a lot of hate speech again other religion. Other Religion dont hate Islam, Other Religion scare with Muslim violent. I am not base on the media, I also have a lot of muslim friend, I am from muslim country and I know how muslim thread non muslim. We can be friend with muslim but when it come to the religion, they thread us like enemy because of the religion. How many Church or other religion have been bomb, burn down, how many pastor, other religion beleiver have been torture, kill and also many of innocent people got kill.
So Muslim please stop talking nonsense. Violent, hate are not solving the problem. And stop calling Islam peace Religion. If Islam religion are peace the whole world will be peace. So you know the answer it is dangerous or not ???. Also please give Freedom of beleive for all muslim country. There are still many muslim country do not allow church to be build.
PS. my church got burn down in 1998 after just being finish renovated. Do you know how it feel when you are in the church praise and pray, Suddenly many people attacking our church by yelling Allah u akbar !!!. Christians in Indonesia don't do anything wrong. We dont insult Islam or muslim but still many christians being tortured. This is true story and it is not the worst case. if you want to know it is still happen, many church have been force to close and may people have been torture and kill. May God keep full protection for all the Christians that are in the muslim country. You can search on the internet to find out !!!

Exactly! I was angry at first but now I realise that they have done themselves a lot of harm by showing their true colours. Murdering an innocent nun in retaliation said it all. The fact that her dying words were words of forgiveness speaks volumes.

If the actions of fanatics and fundamentalists is the way you judge a religion, then Christianity has as much to answer for as any other religion, and more to answer for than quite a few.
You want animalistic? Try looking at people being burnt at the stake, people writhing around on the floor 'speaking in tongues' and people shooting doctors and burning clinics.
Any comments on why you think Christianity is any less guilty of fanatical behavior than anyone else?
