It wasn't in God's plan, and also because the New Orleans flood was not a WORLDWIDE flood. The Ark was built so it could float on waters that covered the entire earth, and God promised to us that He would never send one again.

Because God didn't cause the flood and mankind had the opportunity to keep the New Orleans levees up to part but abused it by living selfishly in sinful greed which caused alot innocent peoples lives lost.

Because, duh, it would have been washed inland, and beached. Anyone in it would mst likely have been killed. For it to effective, Katrina would have had to flood a lot more than the few miles inland that it did.
But you are making an assumption, that people were not warned by God in advanced to leave ahead of Katrina. I have talked to many who were and did. And just like others had heard from from Noah (who was a preacher of righteousness) and did not prepare, so there were people in New Orleans and who were warned and did not escape.

Because the Ark myth was taken from the story of Gilgamesh. It's just a story. There are quit a few flood stories in ancient literature.

Why, some men of God, told them to leave, they did not!
Told them on the TV on the Radio and in the Paper!
Some left, most stayed, they got what they should have expected!
So!

Because any good creationist will tell you nothing and no-one has ever died in a flood unless it was Noah's flood. That must be the case, because every time I show them a fossil, they note that it's buried in sediment and must therefor have been burried in Noah's flood.

Because if mankind was as 'omniscient' and 'omnipotent' as it pretends to be, then mankind should've taken care of itself.
'Sides, God had no intents on flooding the world again, so there was no reason for the preservation of life.

Maybe He did, but the person just didn't follow through.
Don't forget, Noah had free will to either believe or disbelieve God's directives. He chose to be obedient and build it exactly the way the Lord instructed. And everything came out allright for Noah and his family.
