a diet Coke? Do they think the diet Coke cancels out the calories in the fries? Are fat people afraid to be a little hungry and are they stuck in an infantile mind frame of oral gratification ala titty milk?

Diet Coke is part of the problem (this coming from a guy who loves diet coke and could lose a few pounds)

but while diet coke *may* be slightly healthier than coke, its much less healthy than water.

So there.

I can't speak for everyone, but some people just like the taste of Diet Coke better. I'm not morbidly obese, but I could stand to lose a few pounds. On the rare occasion I have to do drive-thru type food, I usually get Diet Coke just because it tastes better to me. Regular coke seems to sweet.

I highly doubt people order fattening foods and then a diet coke to truly reduce their calorie intake.

Because they can. Usually people get what they like when going out to eat. It's really just a matter of preference. Diet Coke and Coke taste totally different just like Diet Pepsi and Pepsi. It's all in what a person likes. Do you really care or are you just picking?

First of all, why do you care?

Secondly, when I used to go to McDonalds and order a Big Mac meal with fries and a DIET COKE, it was because I hated the taste of regular Coke, it was like drinking syrup. No other reason.

Everybody has to die from something, might as well be obesity... but I agree with you in that, if you are going to indulge yourself, why not go all the way and get a real coke? The extra hundred calories are just a drop in the bucket compared to the artery clogging saturated fat in the patty melt and chili cheese fries. It doesn't make sense.

My guess is that you have never had to be overweight. Does it really matter what they eat. If they are eating like that then their weight must not be that important to them. Also, have you ever thought that they may prefer the taste of diet coke to regular coke. Think next time you judge.

When I was younger, I used to work at McDonald's and EVERY SINGLE fat person that came through would always order a Diet Coke along with their double quarter puonder with cheese supersized meal with an apple pie on the side. I personally don't think it has ANYTHING to do with taste. A lot of fat people are diabetic and regular coke has a lot of sugar in it, so it would raise their blood-sugar level a lot.

To a previous post, yes, it is their lives and fat people can eat whatever they want, but why would you do that and just keep getting fatter and fatter? I don't want to hear any bullsh!t about "thyroid problems" and "I was overfed as a kid" and "slow metabolism" and blah blah blah. Get over it! I was overfed as a kid, I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. I grew up on a farm, so we had a lot of food all of the time.

I am 5'9" and 145 pounds (I am at a very healthy weight for my height). I eat whatever I want whenever I want, just like fat people. I, however, get up off of my lazy a ss and GO TO THE GYM! I play at the park with my kid, not just watch her play. I play softball twice a week, I make healthy choices when I eat.

I think that it comes down to straight out laziness. You get the thyroid problems and poor metabolism because you are lazy and overweight.

Some people eat because it calms them and comforts them. Just like men seem to masturbate to calm down. Maybe they like Diet Coke.

I have seen skinny minnies drink water and down a whole XL pizza in a sitting. It's only a preference.

Babe, you hit it right on the head. All that is true and more.
I just hope you stay young and beautiful your whole life. As soon as you start getting old, wrinkly, and saggy, (or heaven forbid, injured and scarred in some way) there will be someone just like you to point it out and be mean.
Consider being more sensitive, or silent. We really don't need you to tell us that we are fat. Trust me, we know.
