Pilate didn't indescriminantly round people up and burn them, so I'd have to go with Hitler.

Adolf Hitler. At least Pontius Pilate tried not to kill Jesus and was forced but Adolf Hitler managed even if he lost to turn Malta - where I live - into bits damaging many important and significate places of the Maltese. This was done in several places and that's why I think he was far worse than Pontius Pilate.

Pontius Pilate had a choice but it was a slim one. And he washed his hands of the blood of Jesus when he handed him over to the Jews. Now Hitler on the other hand was just demonic. He was sadistic and a monster. He was worse than Pilate by a long shot.

In my opinion Adolf Hitler--he was directly responsible for the brutal murders of tens of thousands of Jewish people. Pontius Pilate did have a grievous sin; but, as Hitler's was due to his action, Pilate's was due to his inaction. Pilate knew that Jesus was innocent. This is why he refused to judge Jesus the first time and sent Him away on a technicality. When Jesus was sent back (after being found innocent for a second time) Pilate decided to give the crowd a choice--either free Jesus or the murderer. The crowd chose to free the murderer and crucify Jesus. It is a very sad situation that Pilate didn't do the right thing even though he knew that Jesus was innocent. But, through all of these actions, salvation was made available to all through Jesus' death on the cross...hope this helps.. God Bless

I believe in God and I believe Pontius Pilate was wrong for not standing up for Jesus Christ before his death, but Hitler was a pure monster for what he did the all those poor Jewish people. Pontius Pilate made it possible for Jesus Christ to die for our sins therefore it wasn't all bad. Hitler had all those people killed for the simple purpose that he didn't like them. That is just wrong and unforgivable!! Pure Evil I say!!

Hitler.
From all accounts, Pilate did everything he could to keep Jesus alive, short of sacrificing himself.
And most of the world based on the self.
Most Christians here would probably act more like Peter than anyone else when faced with an angry mob that would tear your head off if you said the wrong thing.
I can't see that many Christians taking the Bullet for Jesus. Some, certainly. All, I think not.

Actually, the crucifixion of Jesus is only the most widely-known "evil" that Pilate committed. He, like many of his contemporaries, had quite a bit more blood on his hands than that.
But still, there weren't MILLIONS of people around under Pilate's control to execute. So he has to take a back seat to the paper-hanger from Germany...

Hilter. The Pilate was backed into a hole. He did try to get out of crusifying Jesus, but was given no real choice. In the end, he handed Jesus over to the Pharassies and washed his hands. Hitler made the choice to kill hundreds (or advicate that hundreds be killed)

I'm thinking Hitler since all but one of the Gospels (Mark) say that Pilate would not have this man's blood on his hands, more or less.
