First off, how old are you?
There's a much bigger difference between a 16 year-old girl and a 26 year-old man than there is when the woman's 26 and the guy's 36.
Ten years isn't all that huge (although remember, on average same age women already outlive men; if you're with an older guy, you may be alone even earlier!). Look at Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. He's nearly 30 years OLDER than she is!
In any case, a guy 10 years older is no way old enough to be your father so anyone who suggests that you're looking for a father figure needs to do the math!
P.S. Maybe guys your age are simply too immature?
P.P.S. I just saw your age. You are still in high school. This guy is already several major life stages AHEAD of you (possibly he has finished university studies, chosen a career, maybe even been married/divorced). Wait at least until you have your high school diploma and a little life experience under your belt before getting into a serious relationship! You have plenty of time!!!

I had the same. My father is much older than my mum, maybe that was what I followed. I felt attracted with a guy 11 years older, then - sb 28 years older! But things changed when I reached my 22nd-23d birthday... So - maybe that will also change in your case!

pretty much bcoz they are more matured than boys your own age and they are on the same maturity level with you, you know women mature 5 years faster than men, which is why we are in control in a relationship and why men act like small kids, and men 10 years older have more experience and know how to treat a woman better.

Me too, I guess we like someone who we think is going to be much more mature than the men are ages but in reality age really ain't nothing but a number. Men will be men so there is no way age matters when it comes to acting like an adult.

i know many women married to men 10 years their seniors, and quite a few of these guys are not even good-looking, or smart, or fun to be around. I thought I was better than them but it always seemed to be that I'd never manage such a nicely young wife - and I didn't.

Bottom-line, nothing wrong, and you may well end up marrying one for all I know.

You may be looking for a male that can provide a stable realationship in maturity, financial, etc...may have been caused if you didn't have a strong father figure while you were growing up.

Don't have a clue when I was in my 20's this old guy in his 30's asked me out . . I was grossed out for a week

unless they are money grubbers (Anna Nichole Smith) then why would any young attractive women want an old man ??

Maybe because 50% of older men have been there done that, and they are more sensitive to your needs, unlike 16,17,18 year old BOYS who have one thing on their mind and they act like thats whats on their mind. Unlike Unlike the other 50% of older men, they know how to sweet talk you to make you think thats "NOT WHATS ON THEIR MIND"!
