Why do people think wars are fought over religion!

Few wars are fought over religion.

Even the Arab/Israelli conflict is not about religion, it's about a piece of land.

Wars are over cities like Jerusalem and access to it.

War are about oil and oil fields

Wars are about other resources and even slavery to make your economy grow and go

Wars are about land, buildings, resources.

WWII was about the Rine, Austria, Poland, France

The Revolutionary wars in Russia were not about Communist Vs. Christian, it was about Socialism Against the Monarchy

The One in China was about Socialsm vs the Capitalst Democracy

Kahn didn't bring a religion in per se.

Neitehr did Allia the Hun

When the Greeks conqured the Middle East they didn't wipe out Judaism, in fact there were Jewish Torahs made in Greek for Greek Jews.

They wanted the land, the people

It was about Imperialism, expansion, plundering

Learn what War is about

Relgious wars are unprofitable wars.

If a war with Islam happens and they win, they will do what any winner does. Take the WEST apart brick by brick and ship it home to their Leaders, leaving the West with nothing but an empty crater.

It's not just about whipping Islam on us then going home.

It's about conquering.

To the victor goes the spoils!

We win that war, we get all the oil fields and we'll ship it home brick by brick and if France doesn't join us, then FRANCE will have to pay our price for their oil. If we giving England oil for $5 a barrel and charge france $200 a barrel, too bad! Maybe you should have be part of the allied forces!

That's how it works.

You give em back their land after 200 years of occupation with no oil in the ground.

War are fought over religion , that true. But religion doesn't preaches to fight that's also true.
Its people who use religion as a tool to control the masses. Common men not so cunning fall into their web. They are made to think that their religion and their God or Allah is in danger and they must save him.
Religion is not at fault, its Satan who controls the priestly class (not all) of every religion does to give disgrace to every religion.

God cannot be killed or terminated, he cannot be in danger by any body if he is really God. People must never forget this.

All religions don't preach the same thing. Some teach good things, others teach bad things. All wars are a result of mans inability to compromise. All wars involve greed, power, and control on one side or another.
The fact is that many religions teach you to shun these things. If everyone followed the same religion the way it was taught, there wouldn't be war. The nature of man is to fight over differences, you can't blame religion for man creating differences in belief systems.

Hi nitin p

True religion is not the one that Protestants and Catholic teach.....It is the one that Jesus taught..........Catholic and Protestants have twisted it to server their desires and the gods they have created.......
Example: Jesus was three day's and three nights in the tomb, not two nights and one day. The protestants claim that Jesus was placed in the tomb on a Friday just prior to Sun Set, and rose Sunday morrning just prior to Sun Rise...... Jesus said....Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Jesus was born in October, not December.....We have no way of knowing how many wise men there were. The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week not the first day of the week... The Catholics laugh at the protestants.

Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Society (1975), Chicago, Illinois.
"Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts:
"1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them in the eyes of every thinking man.
"2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Besides the Bible, we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages and a thousand other laws.
"It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible."

Stultifies:
Prove to be of unsound mind or demonstrate someone's incompetence.
To make someone or something appear absurd, foolish, contradictory, etc.
To cause something to be useless, worthless, futile, etc.

There is no ever burning hell and no man that ever lived is in Heaven except Jesus. The dead are dead awaiting a resurection....The list of lies is much more than the above few....The wars that are claimed to have been fought in the name of religion were really fought in the name of Satan.

True Christians don't preach the things which Protestants and Catholics preach. True Christians preach the gospel as Jesus commanded. Have a good day.

RELIGION AND ITS FOLLOWERS ARE TWO SEPARATE ENTITIES,,,FOLLIES COMMITTED BY THE BAD FOLLOWERS OF A GOOD RELIGION DOES NOT MAKE THE RELIGION BAD,,,AS REGARD TO WARS ...A WAR IS BAD ONLY WHEN IT IS AN OUTCOME OF BAD INTENTIONS HAD THIS NOT BEEN TRUE THE TERM HOLY WARS WOULD NOT HAVE COME INTO BEING....SO IT IS THE CAUSE THAT IS GOOD OR BAD AND HOW IT WAS IMPLEMENTED SHOULD BE THE SUBJECT OF EVALUATION NOT THE RELIGION AS A WHOLE...

Every religion is nothing but an idealogy.
Mankind should turn away from organised religions and seek
salvation through local culture, traditions and compassion.
Always remember life is an internal journey .Chirstanity and islam have no clue to it.

Difference in opinions.... even within religions there are lots and lots of sects , schools....

Its not that simple. We all have our philosophical differences. Only thing all religions agree is that the God exists.

Problems arise when some people start thinking their idea is the best and others are stupid/evil/infedels/satan worshipper/half truths/inferior.........and use unethical means to get converts .
