If you get savaged by a dog you can die from blood loss, if an artery is severed. Other possibilities include rabies, or an allergic reaction. In most cases, a dog bite requires nothing more than a tetanus jab.

Yes, if the dog goes for the jugular vein, or rips your body to shreds. Or if it has rabies, or if you get an infection. But normally, no, you will not die from a dog bite.
Ten to 20 people die every year as a result of dog bites in the U.S. By far, the majority of the victims are children.

Yes of course you can. We don't have rabies in this country but it is fatal-there is no treatment ,just to let whoever said it could be treated above. You will die if you get it. Any person bitten by suspected rabid dogs should be immediately given immunoglobulins-antibodies against rabies. This is prevention, not treatment.
Of course you could always be bitten on a major blood vessel and bleed to death or get septicaemia

If the dog has a disease, like rabis. But that is treatable. If you get bit in an artery, there is a good chance you can bleed to death. And children don't stand a chance if attacked by a dog. They are too small to defend themselves. Thier best bet is to run, jump on a car, or climb a tree.

Yes indeed you can and it doesnt have to be the actual injury that does it. A dogs teeth has millions of bacteria that can get into your blood and poison you. Thats why you should always seek medical attention if the skin is broken.

If the dog has rabies or it's a big dog that bites on the neck or catches one of your main arteries then yes you could die if medical help is not immediately available.!!!

If the dog is diseased (eg. rabies) and you don't get yourself treated, maybe.
Otherwise, depends where you are bitten and how hard. Very hard on the throat, yes, a nip on the ankle, no.
Only other way would be of shock/heart attack.
Why do you need to know?

sure, if the dog is rabid or the wound gets infected and the infection spreads to your bloodstream, causing septicaemia. it also depends on the site of the bite. if it goes for the jugular vien, then i guess its safe to say it could kill you. hope this helps.

sure. rabies, or get an infection that isn't treated, or get bit where a major artery is severed (jugular, femoral). Dogs naturally go for the jugular.
