because dvd-roms can only read, not write?

DVD ROM -the name itself specifies, read only memory(ROM)
once written you can't change.To write a dvd you need the s/w as well as h/w nero is only the s/w. if you have Dvd writer only u can write DVD.

when you first open Nero on the left at the top u need to make sure it is on DVD and not CD. and on the main screen at the top choose the right Drive I have to change mine from E: LITE- ON- COMBO to D:_ NEC DVD RW

ur drive is dvd rom not dvd writer.if u wanna burn dvd on ur drive , u'll need at least a cd writer n a software that can burn dvd on cd.software is available on the net.

err ... u need a dvd r/rw disc and a dvd writer, and ur version of nero needs to be compatible with said disc drive

if you actually have a dvd burner and not just a dvd player, then use dvdshrink. google it, im sure you'll find it. it is free btw so dont pay for it

make sure you have a dvd writer, if you do you need to make sure the dvd you have goten are compatiable with you dvd writer
