Okay I am a hair stylist and pantene does make your hair look good in the beginning. It is because there is a chemical in it that actually has the properties of a liquid plastic. If your hair doesn't get the natural oils from brushing and from conditioner, it will dry out and eventually start breaking off. The chemical is so strong that you have to literally strip off of your hair. my best reccomendation is to not use it. It may cost more but go to your local salon and ask for a good shampoo with out the chemical dimethicone. Personally I like Nexxus and Joico. Matrix and Redkin have a large line of wonderful products.

Well, I was in Venezuela on holiday and the people there just adore Pantene. It's like a magic word! Like The Best Shampoo in the Whole Wide World! And it's very expensive too, so it has turned into kind of status symbol. So weird!

I would never use it. My friend said that all it did was weigh her hair down, make it feel greasy and feel gross. I prefer to switch shampoos every few months, but I don't trust the Pantene brand for anything....come to think of it...I'd rather be bald.

I use the Pantene for Women of Color line and it's freaking fabulous! I can't say the same for the other lines of the shampoo and conditioners, but from what I seen of people who have used it, it does give them super shiny hair. The Women of Color line's formula is great for over-processed and moisture challenged hair. I'm impressed enough to recommend it to people if they ask.

It seems to work really good at first, but it leaves a waxy film on your hair. It also will strip any haircolor that you have on your hair. However, I really like Pantene Conditioner. They have a new one out for hair that is damaged. It is suppose to reverse damage in one month. I really like it so far.

I use Pantene but I have fine hair so it weighs my hair down some. It's great though if your hair is dry.. not too good for color treated hair because it can strip the color depending on what kind you use.

I have used it before. It works well. But you should switch your shampoo every 3 months or so

I used too, I didn't like the smell and i thought that it faded my hair color. I love herbal essences.
But i mainly use John Freida or PPS

It has alot of waxes in it, so it weighs the hair down and leaves a build up on your scalp and hair.
